TSRC’s synthesized rubber is manufactured by using butadiene and styrene among the
petrochemical product series as main raw materials through polymerization, and it
has the properties of plastic and rubber. TSRC’s series product Taipol®
TPE includes SBS with butadiene as compounding monomers, SIS series with isoprene
as compounding monomers as well as the second generation of product of SBS with
better durability and functions after hydrogenation-SEBS. SBS is used primarily
for plastic and asphalt modifiers; SEBS is used primarily for adhesive agents, medical
products, automobiles, household appliances and office equipment; SIS and its hydrogenated
product SEPS are used primarily for TPE adhesive agents and asphalt modifiers.
Taipol® TPE
is applied extensively in high-class soles,
asphalt modification, plastic modification and adhesive agents. It can be injected
directly and allows recycling of the waste materials to reduce the cost. Soles made
of Taipol® TPE have good anti-slippery properties. Taipol® TPE is an important material that substitutes PVC and traditional
vulcanized rubber. TPE has the advantages of thermoplasticity, low viscosity and
easiness to be mixed and may serve as the modifier of building & construction
asphalt and waterproof materials to improve the shortcoming of asphalt being hard
in winter and soft in summer to enhance the load performance. When mixed with polymers
such as propylene, polyethylene and polystyrene in a small quantity, TPE can increase
the impact resistant capability of the plastic products, improve the low-temperature
resistant performance and can be used for medical equipment, auto parts and components,
sports equipment, toys and industrial products. Excellent compatibility exists between
TPE and tackifying resin, which can be smelt and mixed to generate adhesive agents
of high adhesion strength that meet the requirements for environmental protection
and are used extensively in hygiene products such as self-adhesive pressure sensitive
tapes, tags and napes.
